This is the bane of multiple forums across the internet, through no fault of the unknowing and/or inexperienced user.
I am beginning to feel like a newby here, all because of Microsoft's naming policy and the general use of the word App for what used to be referred to as programs or software.
As I think I have said elsewhere in this thread, I am using what MS says is Outlook (New) and was downloaded automatically as part of my Office subscription to my desktop computer. This is the Home screen.
I'm getting too old for this.

There is a new Outlook App that is taking the place of Mail/Calendar/People for Windows. It has a try the new Outlook toggle top right. It is independent of Office 365.
