I wonder what else EVGA knows about them that would cause them to suddenly stop selling their gpu's?

Nvidia make a good product, but prices are madness, and out of touch with reality. Then you get these influences on YouTube who get these for free and cannot stop raving about them. Wonder if they paid full price if they would still be raving. Big up to EVGA, maybe if more did this prices would drop. Too many sheep in this world.

Yeah, I found this story pretty funny, except not funny for the 3rd party board vendors who have made, labeled and boxed their 4080's with 12GB and now have to incur costs to handle the rebrand, get new boxes, and ultimately charge less money for this lower end board.

I think this demonstrates why EVGA said enough is enough and ditched Nvidia. I too would like to say to heck with it and move over to AMD, but unfortunately their board performance is simply not the same yet. But I am much closer to making the switch out of principal now than ever before. And I haven't bought a card other than EVGA in nearly 20 years, so not sure which card I would even go with.

The thing is, people just cannot control themselves. The fact we had lines wrapped around Microcenter for the 4090's just astounds me. It's so much money, and who is really pushing their gaming performance that hard that they need this card. More than anything, I'm sure it's for bragging rights and benchmarks. I'm currently on an EVGA 3080 FTW3, and if I were to upgrade, for my needs, I'd probably look at a 4070ish card. Give my son my 3080 to replace his 2080 Super.
