Systray and clock gone after update

Following tonight's windows update I noticed my clock has vanished in the bottom right. I went through every clock setting I could google and they are set to show clock. I then noticed the systray isn't there either.

One fox I read was to restart windows explorer in task manager>windows processes - but it's not listed.

What @antspants said which works in MOST cases to restart explorer. But some times explorer will freeze to the point one doesn't have access to the context menu to select it so here's another option.
You can make a shortcut to C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c taskkill /im explorer.exe /f & start explorer.exe
name it Kill Explorer and assign it an icon. In the properties of the shortcut assign it a keyboard shortcut (made mine Ctrl+Alt+K)
One can click on the icon or enter the keyboard shortcut to kill explorer.
