KB5022913 seems to have disappeared my on-screen volume slider. Is there a setting or registry tweak I need to make?

EDIT: @mcore had the same issue and it appears that it's an Explorer Patcher bug.

If you still have the little speaker icon down by the clock... then... "it's in there".
You may have to click the little pencil (edit) icon to add or remove things...

Or are you referring to a true On Screen Display?

Well it's not on screen when I hit F7 (the volume key), and that's where I'd like it to be.

I'm not a laptop person, but don't you have to hit the Fn key first?

No, not for things like volume, brightness and a few other things. You have to hit fn if you want to use the fn-specific functions. But every laptop is different, so....

Nope. Looks like the EP update got that, too.
Do you happen to a have a Camera On/Off OSD as well, or no?

I'm trying to determine if something wiped out the whole On Screen Display overlay thing.

EDIT: @mcore had the same issue and it appears that it's an Explorer Patcher bug.
Registered for this forum to just to say I had the same problem and uninstalling explorerpatcher also restored the OSD volume slider too. Thanks for the info.

I also registered here after hours and hours of trying to figure out why my OSD display disappeared. So glad i finally found out what was causing it. I love explorer patcher, and didnt suspect it of causing the problem, but the update seems to have broken it.

Thank you for taking the time to post this information here. It was a huge headache going through so many settings and configurations trying to get it to come back until i read this information.

Same case here I had to uninstall the KB5022913 update cos I cant live without the volume and brightness slider bar.

Been checking daily for an update on EP but last update was 2 weeks ago to fix the crashing issue.

Same here. @valinet saves the day once again! I hope people appreciate what he does for us.

I have updated explorer patcher and got the volume and brightness slider back but they have now moved location on screen and are horizontal at the bottom of the screen now in the middle and smaller - I preferred when they were vertical top left on screen and larger before the windows update

Yeah, 22H2 did that. It also gave us tabs in Notepad, which is one of those "it's about time" improvements.
