Just the troubleshooters, or the upgrade, too? The-Hive is right. It can fix a plethora of problems. If you ran the inplace upgrade and still have the problems, I would look at your user account. Enable the hidden administrator account or make a second user account. See if you have the problems using the new account. If not, then your user account is corrupt.

But just creating a new user account for testing with would be just as effective.

Have you already tried reinstalling your display driver?

enabling secret administrator

Not that it will help with your current problem but please do be aware that the Built-in Admin is nothing special.
It has UAC disabled by default but any other Admin is also able to disable UAC.
It is no more powerful than any other Admin account.

The Built-in Admin exists for one reason & one reason only, to be enabled by Windows to appear on the Safe mode login screen if Windows cannot detect any other Admin account on the computer.

Best of luck,
Denis

I really don't want to go messing with Registry Editor, last time I did I seriously messed stuff up
is there a simplifies way? Because the askvg site is too confusing and reads like a badly translated Russian nuke manual

I tried the premade regedit thing off the site, but it just made the search on my task bar disappear and fixed nothing

This is an optional update that will be installed automatically on patch Tuesday. It may have new fixes by then. When you uninstalled it did you check if things were back to normal before reinstalling it?

EDIT what are you using to tweak the taskbar?

I was using Classic start from ninite, but I uninstalled it when the issues began,
so at the moment I am using NOTHING to alter my task bar or start menu

I went to ninite but there are no help sections nor any user forums, so I am not sure how to undo stuff that it changed except using the registry or trying to do a repair install of windows which you will find in the tutorial section.

You used software which was discontinued in 2017 to tweak your Windows 11 taskbar and start menu?

Did you also miss the part where I said I ALSO REMOVED IT
thus the term "was using" and "I uninstalled it when the issues began" and "at the moment I am using NOTHING to alter my task bar or start menu"

If you are not going to help, then don't help...

Yes, I did see where you removed it, but it may have left behind lots of registry edits in its wake. No need to yell. Trying to help you here.
Don't know if you have tried sfc or Dism to repair things but worth a try I suppose. You can find both in tutorials to repair your system files and image.
Not knowing what ninite changed in the registry I would try the inplace repair.
