This PC can't run Windows 11

My Microsoft Surface Pro 4 meets all criteria required yet fails the test.
The Surface Pro 4 has Skylake (6th gen) CPU. Minimum requirement for Win11 is Coffee Lake which is 8th gen. I'm hoping there will be a workaround to get Win11 installed on systems with older CPU's.

I'm already registered but this older laptop can only access the Release Preview. Unless I misunderstood you?
When you go to Insider Program in Settings, click and see whether you get the next page like in my second snip, please complete the system specs in your profile.

Don't have that option which is why I wondered if someone had a work around.
OK, please wait for someone else to help you, I think your laptop may not be suitable for Windows11.

It isn't but I think I may have got it to work with an old - and popular - enrollment script.

Insider Program only happens to coincide with Windows 11 right now - The ability to use Release preview, Beta and DEV should always be present, unless you possibly have one or more Group Policy entries blocking them (but I've never seen that happen).

So, if you click on release preview, nothing happens?

Is there a login from an organization (like a school, or work) that might be restricting things?

I think I misled you. The issue is that Microsoft isn't allowing MOST incompatible computers to enroll in anything save for Release. I wanted a workaround so that I have the Dev and Beta options. I think I now have that but only a new build would prove that true... or not.

Yes that chart says otherwise but I had two installs on Beta characterised by the Mustard column and both were moved to Release.
Others seem to have that experience too.

It's weird that you've been moved to release. My laptop which is also not compatible (old CPU, mainly) is still on Beta.

That's really, really odd.

Have you tried visiting the actual Insiders web page and seeing if therer is anything therre that you can change with your Microsoft account?

Tried everything I could think of. Clean install, reset, new microsoft account, unlink and re-enroll to Inisder and still, always the Release with no other option.

Hi folks
For those that can't for one reason or other get W11 via WU - don't forget you can download the iso from UUPDUMP and install (or try to) manually.

Update from a recent W10 (20H1) also preserves activation - I did mine via UUPDUMP. Back system up first though in case it doesn't work - or you want to revert back for any reason.

I'm testing on a 6 year old laptop - TPM / secure boot OK in BIOS but the intial W11 compatibility check showed not a fail but a query against the CPU (i5 Inter dual core) which probably isn't in the Ms database.

Cheers
jimbo

Are you saying that those upgrading Windows 10 to Win 11 are having issues with activation?

I updated from 21H1 and am activated perfectly fine.

HOWEVER - I also first upgraded 10 to the leaked build, and activated it, then reverted to a Win 10 backup and upgraded again to the Insider build.

Could that be why I had no activation issues?

No problem.

And if any ASUS Intel users are reading, you need to be looking in your BIOS Advanced > PCH-FW > PTT to enable your firmware FPM
I got Asus M32cd and the tpm was enable, but the "secure boot" tool some extra steps to enable.
