1) its Settings > System > Optional Features
2) that bat will do it all for you via command line and it will copy the shortcut to your Start Menu > All Apps
3) copy that installer code above and paste it into notepad and save it to your desktop via File > Save As > name it this (Exactly - with quotes)

4) then just double click it and let it run.
5) open your Start Menu > All Apps > Scroll down to the W's and it'll be there

Thanks, but I tried that, but there was no option to right click on bat file and run as admin.

Let me correct what I said previously. Even though I couldn't run as administrator, I did get up to this step, but when I clicked on any key to continue, nothing happened.

Also, I did click WMP in Media Features according to this video (which I unclicked when I uninstalled it), but that didn't help either:


Plus, I still don't understand why they made something so easy in Windows 10, so hard in Windows 11. :unsure:

But one moment. I still don't have the OP problem solved. I still don't see my deleted music files in my WMP Legacy, which are in the regular Windows 11 Media Player. Anyone have any thoughts on how I can get those files in my WMP Legacy?

?

Most likely WMP doesn’t know you deleted files because you deleted them prior to uninstalling WMP. This is a fresh install of WMP

How did you delete them? Are they in your recycle bin?
