Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
Drive 0 and drive 4 are MBR and have an active partition.
Drive 0 seems to be a data drive so it should not be active
Drive 4 seems that once was a boot able drive. It's now a backup drive so it should not be active.
If for some reason the computer is trying to boot from those drives it takes some time to find out that there is no OS and to look for another drive.
Make it simple as possible. My suggestion is to detach (SATA or power cable) from all drives leaving on only the NVMe and check if it is the first drive on the boot priority list on BIOS.
A problematic drive can delay the boot for minutes.

Thanks Megahertz, I've been busy and just now getting back to this let me. I'll reformat that drive. Nothing on it that's very important, Or not backed up elsewhere.

You don't need to format the partition.
With a good disk tool like MiniTool partition:
- On drive 0 volume E: set it to non active
- On drive 4 you can delete the System reserved and the Recovery partition and expand the G: partition

I set the volume on E: to non active

This is the way it looks now. I do know and understanding what you had me do. You would think
it would change the way it boots ,but it hasn't. In the bios the only drive in the boot order list is the C:
drive.

Does that 529 MB on Disk 2 to the left of the EFI System affect anything? There is one final thing I
haven't tried yet. I'm going to clone the NVMe drive to the D: drive. Then pull the NVMe drive completely
out of the machine and boot from the cloned drive. I have disabled the NVMe drive in bios and
booted from another disk with no improvement , but I haven't tried totally removing the NVMe drive.

I may not get to that today, but I am anxious to try that. If that makes no difference I'm stripping the machine down
to the point that it was when I received it,

Thank for the help and ideas. If nothing else I've learned much and acquired a much faster method of backup.

The two partitions on the left of C: sims to be Recovery partitions, one old and one active.
- Run reagentc /info to find out witch one is the active recovery partition
- Assign a letter to the last one and see what on it.

I would get rid of all 3 of those Recovery partitions on Disk 2, they are useless.
Has your boot time been fixed yet ?
And please rename C: to Windows 11 :)

It also seems your EFI partition has grown a lot in space, it should only be 100 MB, am I correct Luiz ?
And I made my Recovery partition 1000 MB on purpose, so you can ignore that.

1 other thing, when you clone a drive, the newly cloned drive may still think it is the original drive.
Look in Device Manager, click on Disk drives, does it list the new drive properly ?
You have to right click on it and choose the Properties tab in Device Manager.
What does it say it is ?
If it`s correct you can leave it alone.
If not you simply right click on the drive again, and choose uninstall device, and reboot.
After the reboot, it should be showing the correct name and size of the drive.

Example of mine in Device Manager, I have 2 980 Pro 500GB`s, the 2nd one in the list is still unallocated.

I cleaned the C Drive up and renamed to Windows 11. I have not resized the EFI partition to 100 MB. Is that safe? The boot time has not changed at all. I don't have a cloned drive. When (if) I clone the C: Drive I will remove the existing NVMe drive to see if the boot time changes with just the SDD sata drive installed.

When i look in device manager all drives are properly named. All are present.

Your 1st sentence mentions a clone and then you "Transferred" windows to the NVME does it not ?
Leave the EFI partition alone for now.

You also don`t have to remove the NVME drive to test the SSD, just disable it in the Bios.
Hit F5 to save and exit the Bios. Then I would reboot the PC and double check and make sure the SSD is the only bootable drive listed, then see if you still have a boot delay issue.

OK, my bad, when you said you "Moved" the info to the new drive, I assumed you did a clone.
Leave the EFI partition alone for now.
Gotcha. What I was referring to about a clone drive was I might clone the C: Drive (NVMe) on a sata SDD drive and see if the boot time is quicker.
If feel if I can't solve the issue as it is there may be no solution. That long pause might be permanent.

Well, do you still have the original hard drive with Windows on it ?
The drive that gave you no issues at all booting up ?
Did you format it yet ?

I see in your UEFI BIOS Boot order screen that it shows two drives in the order you might expect to boot them from, right? I would disable the one you DO NOT want to boot from leaving just your NVMe drive as a boot source.
This is exactly what I do. If I ever had to use my Macrium Rescue stick, I would bring it up using the Boot Menu.

If you can and as a test, disconnect ALL usb devices and then try booting. Of course, if you have a wireless mouse then leave the usb receiver plugged in. If the machine boots better then try adding the usb devices one by one and test. In the BIOS / EFI some machines have a setting to delay detection of usb devices and leave it to Windoze.

Every usb device you have connected has to be detected and initialised. Some BIOS get hung up on this. Windoze can do it better or in the background after booting.

My suggestion is to rebuild the EFI partition. You must have a Win 10 or 11 installation drive to boot from.
Boot from the Win 10 or 11 installation drive. On the first screen launch a CMD window (Shift+F10). (simultaneously press the Shift + F10 keys on your keyboard when the installation wizard shows up).

diskpart
list vol (- take note which drive letter (may not be C: ) your Windows partition is assigned)
list disk (- take note the disk number -n- of the drive containing your EFI system partition
select disk n (- replace n with the drive identified above)
list par (- take note which partition - m- is the EFI System partition)
select part m (- replace m with the partition number identified above)
del part override
create part EFI size=100
format fs=FAT32 quick
assign letter=S
exit
bcdboot C:\Windows /s S: /f UEFI (- note may need to change C: to the drive letter identified with list vol)
exit

I will try this and report back. I've been out of pocket for a couple of days and I am anxious to try it. I still think this has something do do with the UEFI. Thanks, I'll be back.
