What is your favorite email client and why?

I actually don’t think it’s for me. I’ll stick with Office 2021, until they totally wreck Outlook.

I have Microsoft Office 2010 and it was good in that year but not what MS is putting out today. The want to put everything on The Net so why don't we all just use Dumb Terminals??

Yeah, not liking the direction. I personally don’t want my privately owned domains emails sitting on their servers for any length of time.

I trust open-source. Too many eyes on it for something ominous to get past the gates. Free is also good, worth the donations though.

Quite a lot as people communicate via phone and OS. Also, there is a forum sections that accommodate devices.

"there is a forum sections that accommodate devices" and that would be a good place for his comment. Of course that is JMO. Hopefully that will help you understand that others may have different opinions than you. Maybe that will help avoid this sort of back and forth in the future.

Anyone else use the default UWP Mail app? (Not new Outlook). I like how fast, simple, and lightweight it is. I almost forget its running in the background because it uses almost zero resources. Too bad it's getting deprecated.

I was being facetious. Nobody really cares that the mention of a phone was in the same sentance as OS. It’s all relevant. Cheers though

There's more answers to this question than the number of people on this planet who have had hot dinners since humans started eating them. However if speaking of FREE clients then I've no problem with Outlook or even Thunderbird -- but since I have office LTSC then outlook is fine by me.

In any case email on the whole is rapidly being replaced by online things like whatsapp etc -- so unless you are seriously into e-commerce and need audit trials email is a decreasing "Value commodity".

One of my best email clients though (FREE) is probably one 99% of people on this forum have never heard of -- when I'm using my main Linux laptop with the KDE workspace I find the built in email program KMAIL excellent, although I've no problems in using OUTLOOK from a VM.

With all these things of course YMMV - and what one is used to often suffices eve though better alternatives are available. Just log on to any Car forum or Motorbike site and see the amount of hassling over "best car / best bike" etc -- or even the whole issue over EV's or ICE's. There's no real solution --- just try what's available and use what you like.
