I'll probably grab some cheaper 2TB Nvme chips -- I've got rid of 99% of my older classic 2.5 ins ssd's now.

And it can't be too long now before that annualized ritual shopping horror from the USA starts appearing "Ad nauseam" on our European shores -- "Black Friday" !!

Needed a new washing machine -- got 25% off plus free delivery on Wed -- I don't need a drier - I've got a very cheap thermal energy heater !!!-- Amazon Prime is definitely cheaper than a load of stores plus convenient deliveries -- also for €30 they can remove the old machine plus packaging etc !! --

I'm getting too old to man-handle the stuff to the tip myself. There seems to be a whole slew of grumbles about Amazon on these boards and in the press in general with such rubbish slogans as "Save the High St" -- most of those should have died off years ago whether in the UK or elsewhere -- I find Amazon easy, convenient and prices are competitive -- meanwhile others are trying to tax the wretched company out of existence and force people to go to hideous shopping malls, or high street shops with dismal service and staff who look at you as though you are an International terrorist when you walk in.

I don't mind "October sale days" - but definitely draw the line at Black Friday rubbish. I also don't care much about Xmas any more -- that IMO is really only for kids and grand kids plus shops get nauseatingly hideous both in the wares they are flogging and the dreadful Xmas music that seems to pervade stores from around the end of Aug (seems to get earlier every year).

These days - I like to spend it on some nice warm beach - far away from ringing tills and poor endless renderings of the classic song "I'm dreaming of a white Xmas" sung in a more melanchonly note than even a Catholic Requiem Mass (Mass for the dead).
