Realtek. Last Realtek update was on 08/24/25. The problem started on 09/17/25. Excellent suggestion. I'm still stuck on the web site coding since the problem is confined to FireFox and Chrome. The only piece of software I can't validate is the third party mail service my ISP uses. The ISP's tech support has acknowledged the issue, but can't replicate it on their W11 systems. Since it works with Edge, I'm willing to let it ride until it "magically" works with the other two browsers, again.

have you tried to add your own DNS server addresses.
settings > network > 'your network connection' WiFi or Ethernet

then add DNS addresses.
IPv4
1.1.1.1
primary

IPv4
1.0.0.1
secondary

leave the IPv6 addressing as auto for the time being.

save the settings
then see if your system can connect to the internet.
best of luck, Steve ..

Not yet, will try this tomorrow. Not sure what this will do. FireFox and Chrome connect to the internet just fine and work with any URL without any issues, except for this email website used by the ISP. The website connects OK, let's you sign in and displays the mailboxes. As soon as you select a piece of mail, it loses the internet connection and no longer can communicate with the site. It requires a network reset to get the internet connection back operational. W11 will still show the internet connection as connected and secure, but it's not functional until the network reset is done.

Went to test this problem just now and it seems to have disappeared. Checked the update history and today the only updates were KB2267602 v.1.437.174.0 and KB5007651 v.10.0.27840. Now the email client may have had an update to its website coding, but I have no way of knowing. I'll keep an eye on this for awhile until it's stable before marking this thread solved.

I may have stumbled into the cause of this issue doing some further testing. FireFox starts 14 subtasks when this URL loads. I can sign in to the website and select a piece of email, let it load and go onto another one just fine. But if I select any other folder or piece of email before the previous selected email loads and displays, the internet connection fails, requiring a network reset. Don't know if this points to a browser issue or a website structure issue. Wondering if subtask interrupts are the culprit? I am not familiar with current website programming. My programming was limited to Assembler, Fortran, COBOL, Basic, and RPG.
