Windows 11 Pro 23H2 with whatever the last update was - on iphone right now

I don't really know how to ask other than describe that when I restarted my laptop the other day, it came back on looking like it was from the factory and it took me a while to realize I was signed in under a local account and I could navigate in file explorer to users and then my username and my documents, downloads, etc. were there and I was in some kind of temp user who had nothing under the user folders. This is a brand new laptop and when I set it up, Onedrive took my documents and pictures and videos without me realizing it and put them on Onedrive. I thought I had retrieved them and had them set up on my SSD like I wanted but I guess not.
I found a recommendation to sign in and out of windows 4 times which I did. I found myself logged in again with my Microsoft account but file explorer still didn't show my user folders. Nor would some parts of the settings menu open and I can't remember exactly which at the moment. Windows security for sure and I think others.
Interspersed during all these various attempts to fix the late unpleasantness, I've used DISM and scannow several times and they never found a problem. I tried system restore once.
Today I found where others had navigated to their proper user folders and under properties, moved them back to how they normally look under C: That seemed to work and I could then navigate with file explorer through my documents and downloads, etc. Yet I still couldn't open windows security. There was another update waiting for windows so I thought I'd do that, come back and see if I could get MS Security to open
I'm right back to where I was. Although I am signed in under my Microsoft account which is an administrator account, file explorer is back to showing another user's folders
Please, does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank You

My suggestion would be to start by uninstalling the latest update and go from there. See below link for instructions.

If issues persist, post back with an update.

I gave that a try and it did not solve the problem. Thanks for helping me so far... do you have any other suggestions? I uninstalled back a couple of updates.
I was wrong earlier too, I'm on Windows 11 Pro, version 22H2 (0S Build 22621.2428) That's correct after the uninstalls I just made.
