Winrar for sure, I even love the whole winrar isn't free popup and please buy even though they just allow you to close it and continue on, 10 years later, Same message xD

I like to open an archive and look at the contents before I extract it. And when I extract from an open archive, 7Zip, extracts files loose. WinRAR creates a folder. For this reason alone, I prefer WinRAR.

As I have discovered to my cost, it's all too easy to write a flawed poll. You ask, 'do you use 7-zip or Winrar'. My answer would be yes.

I guess you meant to ask, which is your preferred program for opening compressed files? I have used many programs including Winzip, 7-zip, WinRar and the native Windows one. The only box I could check was 'other'!

No, don't change it. I wrote a poll on password managers but got so much flack I had to rewrite it. I was not upset and I learned a lot.
I must admit to being a language pedant. If I were doing it again I would post a query first and then do a poll. I think you can only have ten options for a response but you can allow multiple responses.

There's a lot of love for 7-Zip. But not by much.

I prefer WinRAR and its interface, but I have to say, if I want a smaller archive, 7-Zip always creates a smaller file than WinRAR. At least, that's my findings.
