Just brainstorming here, but per chance have you installed Edge Canary alongside regular Edge or performed any maintenance actions on Edge?
I've never encountered anything similar, but it looks like some kind of backup folder has been created. I'm anxious to see what everyone else thinks.

The folder TrustTokenKeyCommitments is from a Chromium based browser. It is usually attributed
to Chrome but since Edge is I believe to be Chromium based as well then, it could be an updated
version of Edge but, am not sure of this assertion.

It actually looks like a mis-installed version of a Chromium-based browser, like Edge, Chrome, Brave, Opera, etc.

Or, it could be something more sinister.

ZIP the a folder up, then delete it and see if your browser goes AWOL.

I also did a AV scan with Bitdefender, Sophos and Malwarebytes all came up with nothing.

It definitely looks legitimate, and a mis-installation seems like the most likely culprit - but can never know. Good idea to do that scanning.
