Hi folks
For those who want to try out a Windows server -- the 180 day FREE trial of 2022 LTSC windows server is still available (can be extended also around 5 times via slmgr rearm). Both ISO and a vhd (virtual machine) is offered.

I can't post the link as each one is different - you have to enter an email address etc - but that's not a problem surely for getting hands on to a decent server to play with. 99% of programs I've tried on it don't need the server edition -- Macrium does but in any case you can still use the stand alone recovery macrium iso if you need macrium. Office works as per Win 11 -- you don't need a server version or client licenses - and you can run this as a decent workstation with a little bit of jiggery pokery -- a very good bloat free workstation too.

Interface seems to take the best of Win 10 and Win 11 too.

Cheers

jimbo, and both
You posted enough where I can restart once I get my Dell i7 back in battery - with a Core i7, 32 GB of RAM, and both a 1 TB SSD and 4 TB platter drive, I can run the LTSC Server as a background task, with the nVidia GPU handling the light gaming and display tasks.
