Is there any way I can remove, Try MS office 365 from windows, I Use office 2019 yet am constantly getting try office 365, before I could remove it from the apps, yet now I can not see it in there.
I feel they keep pusing this, the xbox game pass and extra cloud storage, When we dont want it, One no click should be enought!

Was thinking that but was wondering if anyone new a way.
There must be away of removing like if you got office 365 I guess it would stop the trial.
So we need to fool the system thinking we have it when we dont.

I have even messaged ms about this, it will be good to see what they say, As I've said to then i have office 2019.

I have Office 2021 and it still shows. Not sure about buying 365 and still seeing it though. They want us online, not isolated. I see it as pretty rude harassment. But… their software their prerogative.

So there must be a reg entry or something windows looks for, to know if office 365 is installed unless we still get try office 365, anyone know that?

I have been running W11 on this laptop for almost 2 years now. I use MS Office 2007 and it works just fine. I don't have Office 365 anywhere and I don't get any offers for Try Office 365. I also do not use Cloud Storage. I do see some stuff installed, that I would like to get rid of, like XBox Game Bar. But I never use them, so they don't really bother me. I have over 700 GB free on my hard drive so they just take up space that I don't care about.

I also have a W10 desktop that runs MS Office 2007 and don't have any offers for Try Office 365.

That is stranger then as I have ms office 2019 installed and get try office 365 when I click windows settings.
I will look in to it more soon as I get some free time, see if it's a win package I can remove via powershell, or a reg entry or even a bloatware app that removes.
The xbox game bar can be removed by editing the reg, but Win key G can be helpfull, as they have added cpu usage and other bits.

Yes, I know. But it is hardly worth the bother. I just sits there in the menu and on my disk and is never used. I just ignore it.

Are you using the windows 11 start menu a 3rd party?

No, I use the standard W11 start menu. I have never edited the registry and don't use any 3rd party software. I'm OK with the way the system works, by default. Well, except for a few things like, that dumb "bell" for notifications. What a waste.

Everything has something. One of our cars, the automatic boot opener is a pain in the butt. I mean who has time to wait for that to open? My wife, she came with the nagging, apparently, but it didn’t activate until 2 years in. We’re now at 22 years married. I can’t find her registry to hack.

You just have to work with what you have now, the best you can, because it doesn't last forever. It's coming up on 2 years (Nov. 3, 2021) since I lost my wife of 47 years to a stroke. You are never prepared for when it ends, but you somehow continue on.

@TrebleTA Did you ever resolve this? I downloaded 2019 direct from Microsoft and (unrequested) they bundled 365 in with it. Now when I save a file it automatically backs up to Cloud. I don't wants Teams, OneDrive or any of my info sent to LinkedIn or on any MS server. It is insidious.

Get Winaero Tweaker, here...
Thank you - that looks like a great tool. There are a handful of annoyances (UAC, data collection) that I would happily ditch.
To be clear, I'm not getting ads in the app (yet) but when I was served Office 2019, 365 was somehow folded into the package. I would rather have bought a license for 2016, but MS won't sell that any more. I digress. It's that 2019 defaults to sending a copy of every file saved to a 'free' Cloud account. Several pages of obsequious blurb later, I'm still not sure if it is turned off. These "Connected Experiences" are disturbing default behavior.

MS Office 2021 Professional (lifetime license), goes on sale repeatedly.

If you keep an eye on Stack Social, sooner or later they will sell it for $25-$30

Is 2021 better? I just assumed that each subsequent version was even more spyware. I purchased 2019 via SS, but only because I lost the license for 2016.

BTW WinAero is the bomb! So many useful items there.

I have no idea. I don't use any MS Office suite.
I don't even use 3rd party Office suites.

But a lot of the regulars on here, seem to be happy with it.

Ask about it in that topic I linked.

On a side note... here is Winaero, all spread out...
