Release Highlights
  • Bug fixes included.
  • New Program Support added.
Known Issues
  • After installing the AMD Chipset Installer version “7.xx.xx.xx”, users cannot install version “6.xx.xx.xx” or earlier.
    Workaround:
    • Un-install the AMD Chipset installer version 7.xx.xx.xx or newer.
    • Delete the “Qt_Dependencies” folder located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Chipset_Software\".
    • Install AMD Chipset installer version 6.xx.xx.xx or older.
  • On a non-English OS, some driver names may appear in English. 
  • Occasionally, Ryzen PPKG may not install or upgrade.
  • Yellow bang on AMS Mailbox driver on the AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ 9000 Series Processors [AMD WRX90] on Win10 OS.

There arre only AMD or Intel chipset but those drivers may include drivers for some other, manufacturer and MB specific feature because it's driver package.

I've actually used a non-Gigabyte chipset driver before (think it was Asus), they are identical. The driver only installs what's relevant to the system it's used on.
I'll install it today, just done my daily backup image so no hard done if it fails.

From what I remember, it was the Gigabyte ones that had a different installer, something else got installed but then the regular AMD installer ran.

I just mean... my computer doesn't "need" the driver... it's working fine as it is.
So there's really no reason for me.... not to wait.

Just few days ago I updated BIOS version with new AGESA code and AMD always recommends new driver to go with it. In at least one case, driver was required before new BIOS was used. That's why chipset drivers are released at about same time.

Well I installed the newer driver from MSI site on my Gigabyte board. No problems at all. It's the same installer as the generic one.
The PSP 11.0 security device has updated from 5.26 to 5.27, it's been a long time since that had an update.

AMD user forum says it is fixed now. I'm on the wrong machine, so I haven't tested it yet.

I just grabbed the updated installer and it installed fine for me too..
only update for x570 chipset for my mobo was the
PSP driver..

Ok, this one worked properly. Only after installing the one for MSI provided by Station Drivers I found that it doesn't cover 6xx chipset and Zen4. Uninstalled it and installed back drivers provided by Asrock, they were not very stale, December 2023. According to .inf files only PSP driver has newer date, rest have 2022 dates. That might not mean much as drivers are sometimes post dated for compatibility.
