Lockscreen...Can't change Background

I have disabled the password sign in when I restart Windows. I can't change the background at all when the lockscreen comes up with the name of the computer. I checked the personalization settings, but no image or picture I choose shows up. The 'show lockscreen background picture' is set to on. What am I missing?

Thanks

Ran the Reg File but the lockscreen still does not show chosen picture (or Windows Spotlight). Not a big deal ...but kind of cool to see your computer bootup with an interesting image. When I go to personalization the correct picture shows up...but not on restart....as it did in Win 10!

BTW: cntrl/alt/delete does bring up the selected picture...so something is off somewhere.

I have this same issue. At some point I was able to personalize the lock screen, but now I am unable to. I know how to do it, but when I select the photo directly from photos I get an error message. I tried going through settings & all I get is the blue swirly circle & no picture appears. Also the current lock screen photo does not appear in settings, but does appear on the actual lock screen. I’m thinking it’s time to give up on Windows entirely, Apple does it better.

Ok, I found my issue, hopefully it will help someone else. After having said Apple does it better I discovered the new iPhone photo format was the issue. Changed the photo to jpeg & it worked.
