It happened here too, another Microsoft Defender installed when running the MS Office 365 installation, Microsoft becomes more and more invasive, but alas, this is what we have. It had been a long time that I had contacted Microsoft support, begging for a way to install only Word + Excel, but they never gave me an orientation and said that my subscription was so with the whole package of MS Office 365, getting the system with almost a dozen programs installed, while I use only two of them... is a great discomfort for those who like things organized and also in my case that I use a 10 year old computer and a 7 year old notebook, I have to keep them clean and light in order to work. So recently I discovered how to do the Microsoft 365 Application Deployment, and with that I got rid of all the programs, now in my installation I only have Word + Excel, and seeing this before x after image is a great joy:

How did you do that?
I'd like to try it the next time I reinstall MSOffice 2021 because there are some of its applications that I never use.

Hi, I am currently very busy, so as soon as possible in the next few days, most certainly next week, I will guide you to a clean custom installation! For the moment, log into your Microsoft account, then into your Microsoft 365 subscription -> Microsoft 365 -> Manage -> Install Office -> click on Install Office -> Choose the language to be installed -> and under the Language field, where it has "Choose a Version", you choose: Offline Installer and click Install, with that, you will be downloading the ISO image (. img) of about 4/4.5GB, save this image, do not rename it and tell me the name of this .img (it can be by PM so we keep your information), then I will help you to make this clean installation, with only the programs you need. Cheers! :-)

I already have the offline installer. The file is ProPlus2021Retail.img.

There's no hurry. I also have many other things to do and do not expect to be ready to experiment with this until next month.

All the best,
Denis

Oh, and welcome to ElevenForum.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page [within the Tutorials dropdown list].
- At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
- I download a new copy each month.
- By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
- Tutorials are also listed at Tutorials - there's a shortcut to that at the top of every page.

You can search ElevenForum using the search box in the top-right corner of all ElevenForum webpages or using Advanced Search - ElevenForum
- You can also search ElevenForum threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:elevenforum.com after your search term. For example,
Taskbar setup site:elevenforum.com
- [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of ElevenForum webpages does automatically]
