New Win 11 Media Player


I don't copy the visible files on a commercial audio CD as they are only .cda 1KB pointers to the actual music. I Rip those CDs using WMP as .mp3 format to the computer drive and can play them, also copy to my MP3 player for on-the-go. There are other formats WMP can be set to save as.

Yes I already knew that, but what I meant is my Media Player doesn't have the Audio CD option even though I updated it.

There has to be a CD in the optical drive.

I have an issue with Windows Media Player in that when I open a video playback and ask to enlarge it to full screen, it goes black and only sound track plays. When I take it back to originial size, it is still blank. This doesn't happen with other programs that play video.

In Microsoft Store search for Windows Media Player and try downloading it from there.

But not the ( old ?) legacy WINDOWS Media Player !

The version number in the legacy version matches the version of Windows you have installed. It's not a newer version
