I get the latest from the Store, but, it could be cuz my Store and Build is an Insider.

That's probably it, since I'm not running IPs live anymore.

Nope, it doesn't work. So far, there is no way to open a link from within MediaPlayer 11.2210.33.0. Nor can I find an update link to the later versions listed here.

Same here, John. I don't have an Insider version running any more; just the general release version.

No. I already have version 11.2210.33.0 downloaded and installed from the Store. The version this link refers to 11.2210.31.0 which is older than what I already have.

I'll go back and see what happens, but I'm not hopeful.

There is absolutely nowhere to enter any quotes within Windows 11 Media Player/

Use the same method, first go to the site:

Then copy this link to the Media Player and paste in the URL (link) box:
https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/windows-media-player/9WZDNCRFJ3PT?hl=en-us&gl=us

Make sure you choose Fast, to the right. Click on the check mark and you will get various options.

Scroll down and click on this link, it is the latest version:
Microsoft.ZuneMusic_11.2211.36.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixbundle

You can open the MSIX file or save it on your desktop, then open it and it will update.

2. Copy this and paste it there in the search bar on that link: https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/windows-media-player/9WZDNCRFJ3PT?hl=en-us&gl=us
   Do not try to open this as a web link / URL - you just need to copy it here and paste it there.
3. At the far right (just before the check mark), change RP to Fast
4. Click the check mark at the far right.
5. Use your browser scroll to find 11.2211.36.0:
   
   
   You want to find the msixbundle for the version that you're looking for. The BlockMap file is useless, and you can see it is a tiny file, not gonna install anything. Verify for size at the right too.
   
   
6. Click that link for the correct version, download, then run it (sideloading it onto your system).

This method always works, you just have to find the most current version in the list. The search term in step 2 is not version dependent, only application dependent. So that search term will always find the versions of the Media player.

So, when the next version comes out, when someone reports it here, you do all of this again only looking for that new version.

Honestly don't know, didn't force it yet. Still running 11.2211.36 for now, will probably install the new version later today.
