SD card

I bought a 512 go micro so card and it will not show videos when I load them onto the card they wont play back I don’t know if this is problem with windows, my tablet, or the card. I have also downloaded a bunch of e-books and they work fine. This is the tablet

What are the extension of these videos when they are on memory card?

Depending on the file extension you may need a third party player like VLC.

Was the card cheap for the size/amount of GB? If yes then it might be fake hence why files are corrupted.
You can use this utility to check the drive for authenticity:
If it is fake or genuine then it will inform you of this. You will not lose data on the drive using this program.

Also depending on the codec you may need a third party player.

If VLC doesn't play them, nothing will.
What are the videos in question format?
Avi? Mov? Mkv? MP4?

Probably figured it out, still nice to hear back what fixed it.

Sorry been busy. The file extensions are the same as original there are a mix of avi, mp4, mkv.
I use VCL. Now some of the files have worked some work until card is removed then disappear although still using memory. It was a cheap card got it on Amazon for 9.99 was thinking that might be the problem. Will try the validrive program and see what it says. Thanks for the help so far

Most likely a faulty or bogus SD card.

For that price it will be fake and/or too slow for Video.

Agreed. If you find a 512GB SD card for only $9.99, I would with near 100% certainty guarantee it is a fake.

21% one star reviews is a bit high.

If a deal sounds too good to be true, 99.9% of the time, it's not. $9.99 for 512gb....NOT!!
The seller knows that most people who buy such trash won't go to the trouble of returning it for $9.99 and has built their scam around it.
Amazon won't stop these sellers as long as they're getting their cut from the scam and it's not costing Amazon return fees. It's a win-win scam.
The only loser is the buyer.

Buy a reputable brand.
• Make sure your device can support it!
• Buy it locally, and, tell the sales clerk, "If it doesn't work in my device, I'm bringin it back!"
• For videos, ensure it's at least V30!

I've been putting the maximum supported size in my devices for years, trust me, you get what you pay for!

V30 is the way! Simply makes large file transfers soo much faster.
