Why are my Picture Icons Generic -No Preview?

in my gallery in Windows Explorer this is how they look, there is no thumbnail view at all. Am I doing something wrong or is there a workaround/fix I can apply?

Check in Explorer under Folder Options > View to make sure you have "Always show icons, never thumbnails" UNCHECKED.

Do you also have visual affects set correctly?

Setting > System > About > Advanced System Setting

Performance then click on settings
