> Windows 11 Pro: Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.2428)

PROBLEM: I found a cool "start up" photo when I started my computer the other day and decided I wanted to make it appear all the time.

STEP 1 - Where find the start up photos?
A: The files > 200k in C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets .
If cannot see AppData folder, then click View > Show > Hidden Items in file explorer to turn on seeing hidden folders.

STEP 2 - Create new folder and copy file(s) to it and add an .jpg extension
Create a C:\DesktopBackgroundPics folder. Afterwards, go into the folder and click "View" > "Large Icons" while in that folder so you can see the pictures.
Then copy the pictures over there from the asset folder. These pictures are jpg so add a .jpg to the end of the filename when you copy the file to else where.
(After you add the .jpg to the end, then the pictures will be visible in the DesktopBackgroundPics folder because of the "View" > "Large Icons".)

(Just so you know, there are 2 photos for every scene in the asset folder. One photo is set to stretch out on a monitor perfectly. Pick the file you want.)

STEP 3 - How pick my background photo that will appear every day?
Right-click on current background of Windows 11 > Display Settings > Personalization > Background > "Browse Photos" button > select the new file from the new DesktopBackgroundPics folder

There is this manual here on the forum, authored by @Brink, which does part of this process automatically. Then just choose the photo you want.
