Windows 11
Hello,
I found that my computer will run Automatic maintenance of win11 multiple times everyday.
I discover this event will happen when my computer is idle maybe 10 minutes.
Then, when I go back to work it will stop.
When I back to work, I immediately check my Security And Maintenance Center, it show that it ran just a minutes ago. I think that when my computer is idle it will start, I get back to work it will stop.
Is this normal?

But sometime it will no stop, it seems Automatic maintenance still running when I get back to work from idle?Doesn't it should stop immediately? Sometimes it will run a long time until I close my computer or manual turn it off.
Is this normal?Has anyone get this problem before?Or what I should do is wait for it stop……?

Anything else, I think my Automatic maintenance can do it's work successfully because I saw some information of defrag and esent without error.
I just notice these two questions in recent, I feel anxiety of them because I don't know how it work.
Can anyone help me answer these questions ?
thanks lot

Hello, Dellson.

Perhaps this may be of benefit to you...

Change Automatic Maintenance Time in Windows 11

Be sure to look at the bottom of the Tutorial for Related Tutorials
Hello, WXC
I check my computer's automatic maintenance time set at 2:00am, I often keep open my computer at this time, but it seems did't work immediately at that time.
But in other idle time, it will run.……
Do your computer have the same characteristics that Automatic maintenance run outside the time you set?

So……can I think it just common and normal to happen?

Yes

No

If the user is actively using the machine, then the system defers maintenance until a later time. The system also suspends any executing maintenance task if the user returns to using the PC.
However, the system won't suspend any task marked as critical. Instead, the system allows a critical task to complete, regardless of whether the user is using his machine or not.

KISS! Auto Maintenance DOES NOT RUN at all on any of my 12 PC's. I like it like that!

I do my own maintenance, when it's convenient for me. Usually just before I shut my PC off for the night.
I'll never trust MS to do anything like that for me.

Happy New Year!

May I ask a small question.
How long will it takes to finish your own maintenance, and how to do that?
