This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable the offer to translate pages in Microsoft Edge for your account or all users in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The Microsoft Edge web browser included in Windows 11 is based on Chromium and was released on January 15, 2020. It is compatible with all supported versions of Windows, and macOS. With speed, performance, best in class compatibility for websites and extensions, and built-in privacy and security features.

If you open a page written in a different language than your preferred languages in settings, Microsoft Edge will automatically prompt you to translate it. By default, Microsoft Edge uses the same language as your system.

The Translate icon
Translator
appears in the address bar when you go to a web page that’s written in a foreign language. A language is considered foreign to you if it's not included in your Preferred languages list in Settings.

If you've set Microsoft Edge to never translate a specific language, you won't see an automatic pop-up prompting you to translate. However, you'll still be able to translate it manually at any time.
