Finding doubles in file explorer

Hi there

I have a problem with finding and deleting pictures I have double in the file explorer.

I have a bunch of photos sometimes the file name is like this: "01012345" and sometimes like this: "P1012345". The difference is the "0" and "P" in the beginning.
But these two would be the exact same photo.

I tried removing the first "0" and first "P" when I look for them in the search bar but then I get no results. Only when I include the first character, I get some results.
I cannot sort them alphabetically and delete all those that start with "P" because I am not sure if they are all doubles.

I managed to locate the double files by sorting on file size. If the files are exactly the same size AND all the characters in the name except the first "0" or "P" are the same, then it is a double. I can find and delete them all individually but that would take a very long time.

So, I was wondering if there are some advanced search options that can help me to locate and select all the double files easily.
f.e. being able to search on any character in the file name would be a great help.
Or, show only when the file size occurs more than once.
Or even more advanced, IF the file size is the same AND the last 6 characters of the name are the same select the ones with, or without "P" as their first character.

I am happy to explain the issue further if required.

Many thanks in advance for your replies.

A PowerShell script could accomplish this by computing the hashes of all the files and temp store file paths and hashes. If two of the same hash you have a dup. Delete dup.

Or one could use a program such as EDF/Easy Duplicate Finder or its Photo version. I haven't tried it yet but CCleaner has a duplicate finder. I use EDF now and then but I set it not to search by file name but by content, takes longer but has found a number of files with different names but same content.
