Solved Firefox 123: hamburger menu spread out again

I don't remember what the setting fix is for the hamburger (three lines) menu being spread out vertically, with a scroll bar. It's fine on one of my PCs, but spread out on the other. Anyone know the fix?

It appears to be the same on my Desktop and Notebook computers, Win10, Win11 and Linux Mint, all with Firefox Version 123.0. I've not had occasion to change it so no help there.

3 bars (hamburger) , more tools , top:customize toolbar , bottom left of said page , Density

No scrollbar here. Density=Normal, Use Touch for Tablet Mode=Not selected.

Are you using Firefox in Full Screen mode?
What size is your monitor?
Would you mind posting a screenshot of the hamburger menu on your Firefox? (I just want to see whether there's something I'm missing.)

No, not in Full Screen mode. Monitor is 2560x1440

I tried snipping the menu but it disappears as soon as I click 'New Snip'! Give me a minute and I'll use my phone.

Thanks. That was a lot of trouble, and I appreciate it. The solution (for now) seems to lie in a combination of screen resolution, size of browser window, display scale, and size of monitor. I've got it working okay now on my 22" LG at 125% scale and with a less-than-full-screen browser.

For your help, I offer this: you can use snipper to get screenshots without losing context menus, hamburger menus, and settings menus, if you type Win+Shift+s, and choose between a rectangular capture, an irregular shape, a window, or full screen, and after the capture (Enter), you can paste to the image program of your choice. That's how I got the shot in post #1 above.

I'm in the same boat as you @Wisewiz and I hate it. I tried the old trick of changing config file and adding a chrome.css file to my FF profile that worked in some of the older version of FF but it no longer works in this new version.
Bummer. Big bummer.

@Wisewiz Ah, shift needed! Thanks. Think I must have done Win+S, no wonder it didn't work.

Firefox definitely shows some odd behaviour in respect of scaling.

On my htpc (1080p) it doesn't scale webpages fully by itself, whereas it does do it on my kids' 'school' PC (which strangely also runs Spider-Man/Minecraft/Fortnite when I'm not looking).

Only real difference is they have a 1080p monitor and the htpc has a TV. Both HDMI, both Radeon 5x0 GPUs, same drivers, same OS. I guess there must be a cause/reason.
