I have Macrium Reflect V8 (Purchased version) and have always used WinPE rescue media. After reading several forum threads about RE I created an RE USB flash drive.
It boots OK but when in Macrium there is no support for my wireless Microsoft keyboard/mouse combo. I created the RE flash drive twice in case the first one was corrupted but the second one is the same.

Here is the screenshot of what drivers Macrium RE includes (only difference in list for PE is it does not include wireless):

If your combo is Bluetooth then they won’t work, if it’s a usb receiver then they should be fine

Hi,
Same deal as bios probably won't work with bluetooth devices either.
Not really a RE/ Winpe issue pretty much why I've not bothered with bluetooth devises and stick with cored mouse/ keyboards.

My keyboard and mouse work in BIOS, boot menu (dual boot). Everything except the Macrium RE rescue media.
Not a big deal since the PE rescue media does support bluetooth keyboards/mice.

Hi,

WinRe does not require close to 1GB download of winpe adk files, and it also supports backup over wifi which is great for my travel laptop.

Also, WinRe seems to handle 3rd party drivers better i.e sometimes with WinPE you have to manually add required 3rd party drivers, but WinRe picks them up automatically.

So, it is not reinventing the wheel, but making the wheel slicker (low profile, alloys lol).
