Yes, I have that both on my RP machine with broken Calendar, and on Beta VM with working Calendar. Beta has the Outlook toggle on both Mail and Calendar. RP PC has no toggles.

The Calendar app seems to be crashing Application Frame Host
Yeah, I've tried that too! Still no Joy! So weird that all three of my computers acted differently. On the alienware R6, all I had to do was roll it back to an earlier restore point and it started working again. On my HP Windows 11 laptop, and my home built desktop, I still can't fix the issue.

Hi. First time poster here. I also cannot access Calendar and just get either a blue (with Calendar icon)or blue then white flash screens for a couple of seconds before they disappear. Tried Calendar reset and repair with no luck. This problem first occurred yesterday before I did the latest "big" Windows update.
Do I basically just have to "sit and wait" for the problem to be fixed by Microsoft ?
Please "keep it simple" as not very IT savvy !!
Many thanks.

Stuart,

It's starting to look like Microsoft broke something with one of their latest patch rollouts. Many of the posters here on the forum are windows Insiders and have reported the issue to Microsoft. (I know I did). It might be one of those hurry up and wait issues. I know there are alternatives but I like the app because as a contractor is just makes it easier for me to track multiple calendars and color code them so I know when and where I have to be...

I'm having the same issue...my Desktop PC with Windows 10 21H2 – OS build 19044.2604 -- the Mail app is fine, but the Calendar apps starts to open and immediately closes. Meanwhile, my laptop is running Window 11 22H2 – OS Build 22621.1265 and both Mail and Calendar apps work fine.

Both computers are running Mail version 16005.14326.21358.0 -- can't tell the calendar version on my desktop because it won't start.

I ran about 10 troubleshooting steps, multiple reboots, plus shutdown/starts...no luck. Reset and deleted my data for Mail/Calendar and logged back in, but nothing.

One thing I noticed is on my desktop, I can no longer add html or images to the signature setting (used to until this AM)...laptop is fine though.

When I start the Calendar app from Start /All Apps/Calendar (or anywhere else) all I get is a splash screen for a few seconds then it shuts down. I'm on 22H2 2263.1325. It's not on long enough to get a screenshot. There's just a plain blue window with the calendar icon. Any suggestions please?
Microsoft is aware of the problem and will fix it in a near future update.

For those who depend on the non working calendar app all the calendar information is in the new Outlook preview app for now.

MS fixed release of Calendar is underway.

Fixed with 16005.14326.21374.0 released a while ago.

Image

The rollout might be slow so it may take a while to get it to you.

Store app update. It is quite possible that the you would get the fix server side, using a mechanism Microsoft calls as KIR. It requires a reboot.

My retail Build 22H2 did not receive update, but a reboot fixed it possibly using KIR.
The other option, join Release preview Windows Insider and get the Store app update.

I checked yesterday and no update in Store. I just checked again and it was automatically queued up ready to install. So, I'm guessing they've started pushing it out to general availability.

Just keep an eye out for it. This is on Stable 22H2 release, not on an Insiders build.

Please excuse my ignorance but is it just a case of waiting for the appropriate Windows update to appear ? I've just checked my Windows Updates which tells me "You're up to date". Many thanks.

HOW TO FIX - open Microsoft Store / on left Click Library - a list will show of the apps on your computer/ top right Click on Get Updates - wait a bit and hopefully from today Mail and Calendar will show an update of 38.47Mb - let this download and install.
After this you should be able to open Calendar OK - in my case Calendar opened with NO data showing - in Mail/ Click on Accounts/ Click on your email address account showing/ Click on "Delete this account from this device". Close Mail and then re-open it/ Click on Accounts/ Add Account and a list of suggested email addresses will show/ Click on the same email address as the one on the account you just deleted. After doing this - for me Calendar then opened showing all my saved calendar future events.
PS Unless you are lucky, this update appears to be the only 'certain' fix - as the problem was caused by a faulty Calendar app update that, for me came on 1st March.

Mine worked without having to reset the accounts, all my Calendar events were still there
