Halo

Logitech G502 Hero corded mouse. Unresponsive, lights off when computer wakes from sleep mode.
Have tried many usb ports both in hubs and directly on computer.
Unplugging and plugging in again makes it work.
Mouse firmware is up to date.

Any thoughts, please? 🙏

Can't remember but, is there an Off switch on the under side that you
can turn off when you put the PC / notebook to sleep?
If so, turn it off and when you wake the PC / notebook, turn it back on
to see if it will come back to life.

No, not on this particular Logitech, thank you though 🙏
On very rare occasions, it also happens to my Corsair keyboard. So I am assuming it’s a usb issue.

Another thought, does the USB ports still provide power to the attached peripherals ?
If not then,maybe your mouse might think it's unplugged or dreaming. Don't know for sure though.

Everything else has been available when the computer wakes. Although on very rare occasions my Corsair K95 Platinum does it, but rarely.

On my PC, I have I have ;

4 x USB 2
6 x USB 3
The case has another
4 x USB 2
2 x USB 3

I have 3 x Powered USB Hubs with 4 x USB-3 ports on each.
In total there are 28 USB ports attached to my PC. All work.

It's only the mouse this is happening to and like mentioned, occasionally the Corsair keyboard which runs off 2 x USB 2 cables.

I've run out of ideas at the moment . The only thing left to do is
try another mouse. All components (USB hubs) are well attached
and no loose wires on the motherboard ? Clean and no dust bunnies?
I have four extra mice if you need one.

I tried the mouse in the Lenovo laptop and on my sons Windows 10, it works fine. It works fine in my PC, less having to unplug/plug it in each morning. It only started 2 weeks ago. This morning I grew tired of it. I resorted to using the hub next to my left arm to save time.

I'm thinking of abducting mini mouse & holding her for ransom. Lets see how the Logitech likes them Apple(Macs)

GHub had an update a little while ago and another one today. Found out by watching my G933's logo flickering and no sound.
The cable is still good on that mouse? Fitting tight and the mouse end is not kinda broken a little?

I don't know if it makes any sense, but the only thing that stopped the mouse from being unresponsive at wake was to turn off the USB selective suspend setting in Power Options. This is fine except now this means all USB devices connected will be on constantly?

I have a lot of devices, I have 28 USB ports on my computer, most of them are being used.

The USB power on this notebook is controlled by MSI Center.
Have you tried another mouse?

Yes. The same thing happened with the second mouse.. Which doesnt make any sense to me. These are corded mice.

Even when the PC is turned OFF. Even though my USBs are controlled by MSI Center
when I turn Off the notebook , all connected USB devices are also turned off.
This might not be a thing but, do you have onboard memory on the G502?
Did you say that your mouse doesn't have an off switch on the underside?
Since you've tried another mouse (from same company or not?) and it does the same
thing, i would think this is either a Windows setting or a USB malfunction on the PC.
I don't see any other options at this point.
