Solved Need ssmypics.scr from Windows XP so I can display file path on photos screensaver in Windows11

I would like to make the Windows 11 photos screensaver display the file path on the photos. I have read that I can do that by copying the ssmypics.scr file from Windows XP into the Windows\SysWOW64 folder, but I have been unable to find a usable link to download that file from.. Can anyone provide me with a link to download the Windows XP ssmypics.scr file?

in my original XP home disc there isn't such a file
do you know what version is the file from?

In Windows XP it is supposed to be located in the Windows\System32 folder. As far as I understand it should be in all versions of Windows XP.

Is it possible to extract the file from a Windows XP ISO?

Here... I just took it off my retail disc...

@Scott Weird... yours is about twice the size of mine. Then again... mines not installed.
Ah... my copy was "packed" (zipped) before I zipped it.


Ok... here it is properly unzipped from the CD... now.... it's the same size.

Also... here's all the XP screensavers...

Well, I re-attached the un-zipped one, that's the same size as yours.
On the Win XP CD... they're all... packed, to save space, I guess.
I had to unzip them with 7zip.


Like so... they're all small...

ALL of them are 1.04MB on the CD, but when unpacked they are 2.62MB (these sizes are for ALL the screensavers added together)





On the CD ssmypics.sc_ is 21KB, but after I unpack it with 7zip... it's then 47KB... and called ssmypics.scr same as yours.
It's been so long since I pulled something off a CD, I forgot I had to unpack it first.

@Scott and @Ghot, Thank you very much! It works great. I had forgotten how nice the old My Pictures screen saver was. The picture transitions bring back memories from twenty years ago of my first computer - a Dell Dimension 2250. It had two 60GB HDDs in it, which at the time was considered a lot of storage. I never imagined back then that I would be building my own computers today.
