New Win 11 Media Player


You have to Sideload it in Windows 10, kind of a p-i-t-a but it works.
I ain't lettin it monitor any of my folders though!!! ;) Not yet, anyway!
Just like any other non-native app, it's slow to load and glitchy switching modes..., other than that, it's a refreshingly clean UI that works fairly well, so far, and sounds great.

I never collected 45's, instead opting for the albums. Anyway, my mother had a bunch of 45's, and when she passed away, I took them all. They're currently stored in my garage, though most of them are in bad shape so I need to go through them.

I had about 12 Milk Totes full of LP's but lost most of them to a basement flood in the late 1990's!
I salvaged a number of them, just the discs, the sleeves rotted, had them professionally cleaned but even now some of the labels show signs of mold! :(

I know and like thousands and thousands of other songs, but I'm lazy.
These days... I can find just about any song on youtube, and if I want a copy of it... I can just use Audacity (free) to "record" the audio while it plays on youtube. Then I just export the recording as an .mp3

I think, in it's current state, it's merely a fetch-n-play 'piggyback' app!
It's seems to be heavily integrated with WMP and the Windows Media engine...

I think what intrigues me about this app is that it reminds me of the Winamp beta project!
Hope MS doesn't bum everybody out with another lame attempt!

That's why I like Foobar2000. I noticed in my 3rd party firewall... it doesn't even try to call home.
I think it was @Edwin who told me to switch to Foobar2000, a year and a half ago... I should have listened. ^^
