I have come across an excellent command line tool which can perform an offline OS update (eg. from build 22000.100 to 22000.184). It can be used with files previously downloaded from UUP Dump (or from any other source, as long as proper SSU and LCU files are available). Unlike with other methods, like In-Place Upgrade, there is the progress bar, and also a short message shown in case the update process fails for some reason. "Incompatible hardware" can be updated as well. The tool is called Windows NT 10.0 Updates Installer and was created by abbodi1406 (a nickname very well known in Windows geeks community).
The description can be found in BatUtil/W10UI/ section and the zip archive is WHD/scripts/W10UI_10.12.zip at the link below:
When using the tool with UUP Dump files you need to do the following:
1) Copy two files to \UUPs directory (there is no need to edit the .ini file)
W10UI.cmd
W10UI.ini
2) Run W10UI.cmd as admin.
Here are a few screenshots:
The tool can also be used with .msu files, which are now available with Build 22000.194. Those updates have a new format and require W10UI v10.12. Just place the two files listed in p.1) above in the same directory as msu file and run the cmd.
