Possible Private Windows Gaming Home Server

High all, it's been a while since 2021........
I recently had an interaction with Microsoft, my Hotmail account, which I almost never use was hacked. While they helped me fix it they turned my local login into a Microsoft login and after searching through a miasma of unnecessary and out of date info for an hour I did a fresh install. Wait? No local account setup option??!! Thank God for workaround how tos.........
However this has led to me questioning my continued need for a Windows desktop. In fact the only reason I have a Windows desktop is because I game, if it wasn't for that I wouldn't be here which leads to my potential change.
I am considering setting up a private home server (Windows based) to run Steam on and take my Win 11 Gaming computer and turn it into a Pop OS gamer. Yes I would need an old computer (already own one) to work as the server and it would have to be easy to set up.
Any info, ideas or recommendations would be helpful (I hope, I have NO experience with this).

Looks like I had to answer my own question. Build a new gaming machine to load Pop OS on and use the existing gamer kinda as a "server" since all I really need is Steam loaded on both to play my Windows based games on Linux.
Yeah, I kinda figured coming here with this question was akin to taking a Glock to a Glock forum and asking for help turning it into a 1911.......... But Windows is the primary gaming platform by a huge margin and I was hoping someone would be generous enough to help out. Oh well.
