Solved Windows 11 audio issue

I don't have any audio issues, and especially with my Realtek drivers. That ;s desktop. My Windows 11 laptop using the Conexant audio drivers also has no issues there. But that's my systems.

You can always provide feedback via the Feedback hub - Settings > System > About; Scroll down to the "Give feedback" link. Post your issue.
I have had some issues but reinstalling the drivers and pinning the GUI app to the taskbar., restarting it from time to time fixed it. As for reporting the issue.. it's a Realtek one and not an MS one.. they make the driver and MS doesn't

Hi,
Can't do it atm but late tonight or in the morning I'll look at z490 on win-10 see what realtek does there closer
I don't remember ever using it on 10 it has been primarily a benchmark system so driver was unnecessary but it's never stopped ms from installing a unneeded driver lol
I did look in 10's download/... folder at the realtek driver wasn't there so I sure didn't

Gosh, I didn't know that  :)

The point is the OP stating "audio seems to be a major problem among Windows 10/11 users", thus opining Windows itself is the issue, not necessarily the drivers

You're wrong to blame MS. They get the driver from RealTek and they don't make it. To fix your issue you need to get the latest driver and run the process to uninstall/install and that should fix your problem

My point is that seeing as Realtek driver DOES install and functions properly, means Realtek is done with the driver part.

It's on Windows 11's end to keep the drivers yet it loses it.

It's like you have given me the stuff I need, yet I couldn't hold them and they fell. So, not your problem. You delivered, I failed.

Also, audio worked well before, I did not touch anything Realtek-related. Windows 11 started giving updates that messed the driver.

The title, here and every where else, is Windows 11 audio issue.

Because I didn't have this problem with Windows 10, not even always on Windows 11.

I'm pretty sure Realtek driver will work if I install older version of Windows 11.

Surprisingly, audio is STILL working. It's probably waiting for a restart or something. :ROFLMAO:

Waaay back when I was on Windows 10 (haha) and using Realtek on-board audio I had absolutely no luck with the drivers from the ASUS or Realtek websites. I happened to find this package on the Techspot website and it worked perfect in Win 10.

There is a v2.82, but it won't let you open or even give you the option to open the HD Audio Manager. So stick with v2.81. I have no reason to believe it wouldn't work in Win 11.

My "speaker" system is a Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2 headset, and despite reviewers claiming it has no bass, they didn't spend the time setting it up properly. It now uses a dedicated sound card. Here's a video I made showing how to set it up with the Realtek HD Audio Manager.

And FWIW, I think the audio sounds much better in Win 11 than it did in Win 10.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

But was your problem similar to mine? The drivers I install work fine and I have the sound working right now (I reinstalled the driver today).

Problem is, it keeps uninstalling itself. When I log out or restart or even suddenly when I'm watching a video or something.

Did you have this problem?

When I encountered the problem I used those drivers to fix it so they do work. It's a nasty bug that somehow just fixes itself.

Similar, yes. I'd start my computer and the speaker icon would have a red X trough it. But Windows never uninstalled the drivers and a restart would resolve the issue. I was so happy when I found that package and it actually worked consistently.

Similar, yes. I'd start my computer and the speaker icon would have a red X trough it. But Windows never uninstalled the drivers and a restart would resolve the issue. I was so happy when I found hat package and it actually worked consistently.

This is exactly what happens to me but it doesn't resolve itself.

I can't tell if you're implying that I'm wrong or not.
That answer was in reply to BunnyJ and meant to be sarcastic (and not meaning to demean BunnyJ) :)

To be clear, I'm not saying you don't have an issue. We've all had issues at one point or another (for me it was Windows 10 Taskbar freezes). And yes, it's annoying as heck when they happen

I'm just pointing out not everyone here has your issue. I don't have it but now I'm thankful :)

Hope this clarifies
