Can I backup Office 2019 activation?

I am using Windows 11 on a PC that does not meet the system requirements and so far everything is working great. But you never know what will happen in the future. I am going to buy an Office 2019 and Install it on my windows 11. I will certainly make a backup image with office installed and activated. But I would like to be able to backup the activation in case I need to go back to windows 10 or have to do a new install. Can you please tell me if there is any way to back up office activation?

Not sure about backing up the activation. I believe you can deregister Office 2019 from the PC and register it on another using your registration information, though.

If you get a key, just back that up. As for activation, that will be logged at Microsoft's servers so there shouldn't (wouldn't) be an issue of activation even if you revert back to another OS. There's nothing to worry about here.

Did you not make an image while the PC was running Windows 10? If you ever have to go back, just reinstall that image and it will be activated.

Difficult to backup what you haven't bought yet. See post 1.

I got Office 2019, the click to run, you will get a key which you need to keep safe and I have mine registered with MS so I can download it at any time from my Microsoft account under subscriptions and services

Thanks to all. From what I understood from the vendor I will have to install Office and then active it by phone by calling MS.

That will only work on the same PC... there are registry keys that need to be backed up as well - it's a lot more complicated than you think.

@rezpower One more thing...If you phone Microsoft to activate, they will give you a very long number to enter, keep it as you can use that number again for reinstallation if it says your key has been used before
