Copilot eligibility keeps turning off

This is a fully compliant 3155 Pro installation, but the BingChat key value IsUserEligible turns to 0 (zero) every time I reboot, and in order to get the taskbar icon option back (and thus Copilot available) in taskbar settings, I have to use a .reg file I made by exporting that key.

It works, but it's a kludge. I'd like to keep the danged key from changing that value every time I shut down or reboot. I'm sure Copilot will write me a batch file to accomplish that end, and tell me to put that in User\ ... \Programs\Startup, but that's a kludge, too.

What can I do in gpedit or in settings or in the registry to make that 1 value data for IsUserEligible STAY, and not revert to zero?

Extra credit for telling me why the danged thing won't stay the way it should be.

That's where MS moved it. I don't know why the setting won't stay set.

Yeah, I knew that. I was just saying that about the position to let you know that I meet the requirements in every way, including the updated position, but it still isn't automatically available. I know it's one of MS's "rolling out" things, but this is ridiculous. My other office PC (Sys 2) has it and has the reg settings right, so it's always available, but for that machine, the icon is by default next to Start still, even though that machine is now on 3235 (the Preview). WTF??

It doesn’t seem right, but maybe you could create a task on boot to run the reg file? Not that you should have to.

Yep. None of it worked /made sense. For instance: I have no idea how a MS account could be 131. That'e something like a qualifying age for access to adult stuff.

The others just plain did nothing. Am I surprised? Well, in words of a syllable: NO.

I’m a manchild. I admit that freely.

Okay, here's another Copilot question about the same machine. If I switch the registry value IsUserEligible from 0 to 1, I get the taskbar settings option to toggle on or off the icon. But if I toggle that ON, the icon doesn't appear until I change the "Select the far corner of the taskbar to show the desktop" from checked to unchecked (if it was checked) or from unchecked to checked (if it was unchecked).

Now that's bizarre! Is this standard behavior, or is this machine just inhabited by gremlins?
