How do I resolve this core isolation warning ?

Hi,

Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621

Windows11 is showing this message...
as far as I can see everything is enable and the PC has been rebooted, yet I get the same message.



Is there any way to resolve it ?

I don't recognise your Windows version and build. My PC OS is also Windows 11 Pro version 22H2 but the Build is 22621.1265 and the Core Isolation screen shows a lot less than your OS does.

Are you running a developer build or non-standard setup?

Oh. This one. So stupid. Microsoft needs to fix this. Just turn it off. The memory integrity gig is more trouble than it is worth. I did so many things trying to get rid of a non-existent driver Win 11 insisted that I had. If this is your issue you can check to see if it is present in MSCONFIG. Can you imagine getting this notice every time you install a driver Win 11 does not like or recognize?? The memory integrity is one thing, but the Local Security Authority needs to be dealt with. Check your scanner first.

This is a standard install of Windows11.

Looking at System Information it shows the version and build I've listed,
However 'winver' shows: 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1344)

How do I check this using MSCONFIG ?

It really is a bug. I'll try to find the web page explaining it. The Memory protection is linked to the Local Security Authority but if you have one single driver that Win 11 doesn't recognize (but thinks you have it) because it's too new to acknowledge all the drivers out there, your cook is goosed and the only way I could deal with it after making certain I did not have this alleged driver on my system was to turn it off.

Oh. Search: Type in "RUN". Type in "MSCONFIG".

This might help. In my case it only helped a little.

Thanks this has helped.
I remembered I'd installed some old Epson drivers to use an old printer.
Following the video I've managed to delete the printer, drivers and oem6.inf

After a reboot it looks better :)
I assume the yellow text is just a notification in case you change the setting.

I'm glad that helped. Yeah, if you really do have old drivers that aren't compatible you'll definitely run into issues at some point. My buggaboo with it is that Memory Integrity is reporting non-existent drivers that aren't found in the registry, can't be found in hidden devices, are located nowhere in msconfig, and I'm thinking perhaps the thing is finding them in an old zip file (completely NOT installed) but still doesn't like it. Alas, no amount of index searching is producing what Memory Integrity thinks is there so, I simply turned it off. No sense running it if it doesn't function correctly. I know I'm not the only one having this issue and the only fix I can find for it is to shut off the Memory Integrity and wait until Microsoft fixes it.

I resolved this by uninstalling an old Epson printer driver I had installed.
Once that was removed and the PC rebooted the warning is gone :)

I had the same problem. Solved it by adding a key to the Registry. See This issue.

After doing more digging Core Isolation and Memory Integrity are now running "correctly" on my TPM1 system board.

However

Now I have yellow triangles in my device manager and uninstalling does precious little to resolve the issue.

Upon restarting my PC they return. Even after using the pnp utility tool in CMD to delete them they still return.

One of them happens to be Intel's turbo boost driver and I don't think I'll be able to permanently delete something like that as it is built into the CPU architecture is it not?

The other is the ole nasty AMD0 ASUS classic which thing I've wanted to say "good riddance" to for over a decade now for all the BSODs and trouble it generated in the past.

These will return no matter what I do in CMD. Any suggestions? (Apart from purchasing a new system board.)

Not for the first time my laptop became unbootable yesterday, but it was the first time it wasn't my fault - it was solely due to my trying once again to fix this core isolation warning by turning memory isolation on in Windows Security. First reboot failed but it did restart at the second attempt. This morning however it failed to boot again and wouldn't restart at all no matter how many times I tried. Macrium's fix boot problems couldn't get it going past the maker's splash screen and even a Win 11 reinstall failed with the message it was unable to configure the Windows boot configuration, Thankfully I was eventually able to boot into my Macrium usb rescue drive and restore a good image.

If you have the same warning in Windows Security I can only strongly advise ignoring it.

That's what I'm doing.

I've been fine since I've removed the Epson driver.. it looks like that was my issue.

My system doesn't give any messages at all if I turn Memory Integrity on, other than to restart. but the system won't then boot afterward. Anyway, I've now discovered I can simply dismiss the warning in Windows Security and that's the end of it - no more warnings - green ticks all the way in Windows Security.

My warning has come back today I'll try to have another look at it.

Microsoft PnP Utility
Driver package deleted successfully.

Then run pnputil /enum-drivers to check and it's not there.
On a reboot it's back

Any ideas ?
