Great-info but the when the guy speaks an "S"
it is so strong I can feel a migraine building .
I need a freeware Audio Treble Control for Win 11 .
Anyone know pf such ?

I haven't checked these out, so make sure you scan whichever ones you want to try at Virustotal.com




A graphic equalizer will let you adjust the volume of ANY frequency, low to high.
You may have one built into your sound control panel.

If, for example you want to hear the treble (high freqs), better, just move the sliders in that area... UP.

This one, comes with the Realtek Audio driver on my ASUS motherboard...

What browser are you using?

Enable VLC to play Youtube :


If you use VLC to play multi-media there's a built in decent mixer. Go into Tools ->effects and filters.

I have used VLC for years and didn't know it had an equalizer. I never looked in Tools until after reading your post.

I don't usually bother with youtube but usually VLC can handle anything thrown at it. !!!!

BTW the built in media player also has an equaliser. Ckick on the 3 dots at the bottom RHS of the video playing screen.

A graphic equalizer will let you adjust only the fixed set of frequencies the designer chose.

A parametric equalizer is the one that will let you adjust frequencies of your choice. It's a lot more flexible that way and also because it lets you specify the Q factor and type of filter (peaking, shelf, etc), all of which are hardcoded in graphic equalizers. Equalizer APO has one, and it works great as a system-wide EQ on Windows. The OP said it causes "sound problems" for him, but it's been problem-free for me and many other people.

If you want to suggest a parametric EQ, do so. To the OP, not to me. ^^
