IPX/SPX protocol on Windows 11

There are many threads on the net asking how to install IPX/SPX protocol on modern 64-bit Windows (for instance, for playing old games).

Most of these threads end in conclusion that this is impossible.

But here are the driver files that can be installed:

One also needs the netcfgx.dll from Windows XP x64 to configure this.

Thanks for the drivers. Do you know how to get this up and running on windows 11? Where to put/how to install the netcfgx.dll file from win xp 64?

I haven't tried it yet but C:\WINDOWS\system32 is where the netcfgx.dll file goes.

Do you know if we simply replace the windows 11 netcfgx.dll with the winxp 64 file? Sounds too simple to me. Did you get it to work?
