Solved Latest Macrium Reflect updates

This is all fascinating to me, mainly because after I use MR to set up its boot menu (as in my previous post), the next time I restart, I'm met with a blue screen captioned Choose an Operating System, and that screen has exactly two boxes on it: Windows 11 and Macrium Reflect Recovery System. If I click MR, it immediately begins loading the MR system, and produces the following MR screen, which is the RE screen, not the PE screen, and from there, I can restore any of my saved images. If this were a laptop, that boot menu choice would "boot into MR without having to carry a USB around."

Yes, I have a menu with those two options, but the MR option DOES NOT WORK!

How can I explain it better? MR tries to load but eventually reverts to the same boot menu.

I could use the PE option but I prefer the RE option with wifi, especially as this does not require any large downloads.

Since from this:

you're getting back to that, instead of into the MR recovery window (see? I've finally got it.), I'm wondering whether going in to the MR app's Rescue Media window and using the Force Rebuild button would change anything. Do you really have the "OK" at the top of the MR RM window? Might try Force Rebuild even if you do.

Did you read the earlier posts? I have used the ISO option but it does not solve my problem.

As I completely uninstalled MR and all its downloads, all the files are freshly downloaded today. But I will try a forced rebuil after dinner.

WINRE is just a modified WINPE and Macrium just copies the WINRE.wim and adds some Programfiles. Takes 3 minutes. It takes 4 minutes to copy the Macrium ProgramFiles to the WinRE.wim and add a macrium.cmd.
If it is possible to run your "Recovery Environment" you will be able to run the "Macrium System Recovery" as well, if the bootloader entries are correct.

They look like this:

Each time you start your manoeuvre in the dark you add new BCD-Entries. And with just 2 GB Ram you run into problems.
If you ruin your BCD Macrium will not work. Definitely!

Will be interesting to see your BCD store. Mine is like the previous poster and the Blue screen has Macrium Reflect System Recovery as a title. In a previous post you said you select "Other Operating System" which is a different title.

I think that's the same as yours, and I get the correct response when I choose the MR System Recovery option; namely, it loads the RE version screen I showed in #821 above. A look at the title bar in that shot tells me it's the RE version (with Wi-Fi, as @kelper requested), not PE.

I'm hoping kelper's Force Rebuild does the trick, and his MR System Recovery choice at reboot gives him the MR screen. If not, I think he has to consider the possibilty that his rather underpowered old laptop just can't do it any more. I know, I know, it DID it up until the last few MR and Windows updates, but now, well ...?

I had deleted directories showing too at one point. If you open MR and select Existing Backups do the deleted directories show there?
If so, click Edit, select the deleted directory then select Remove. Rebuild your boot media and they shouldn't show there anymore.

There are two out of 4 that are in rescue USB, looks like they are mentioned in 2 also obsolete definitions.

~~7741~~ 7784 still won't boot into RE after a 'force rebuild' of wim.. It gets as far as this -

and then reverts to the blue 'choose and operating system screen just like the one you posted - Windows or Macrium.

I'm hoping to hear from Macrium today, when you lot wake up!

So without using Macrium can you boot into Recovery Environment.

Please ensure you have a complete image that you can restore should things go shi77y.

This would prove that your RE environment is whole.
