Why is the Macrium Full and Delta Restore slower than the Hasleo Full and Delta Restore? I have Samsung 970 Evo Plus as my Windows drive and a Samsung T7 Shield used to store the backup images. Macrium Full Backup takes 2:14, Macrium Delta Restore takes 0:41, and Macrium Full Restore takes 3:58. Hasleo Full Backup takes 2:30, Hasleo Delta Restore takes 0:16, and Hasleo Full Restore takes 1:59. Macrium compressed images are about 75.5 GB and Hasleo compressed images are 72.7 GB. Hasleo backups were created before installing Macrium Reflect and used to roll back computer to fresh status after uninstalling Macrium Reflect. I have the latest paid version of Macrium Reflect v8.1. Uninstalling Macrium Reflect doesn't remove the CBT drivers and I used Hasleo Restore to remove it.

I am certainly aware that Hasleo seems to be faster than Macrium Reflect, but in part the apparent slowness of Macrium Reflect may be in part how you have configured it.

By default, Macrium Reflect throttles back its actions, to save battery/overheating issues. You have to select highest priority.

Also, you may have Macrium Reflect verify switched on to do it automatically.
With Hasleo, this is a second manual operation.

Other factors that affect delta restore is if cbt is on or not. It is not clear if Hasleo does CBT equivalent by default - you would have to ask on the Hasleo forum.

However, regardless of times above, 4 minutes for a full restore is pretty good for 70+ GB images.

In the end Macrium Reflect is a mature and well supported tool (their customer service is superb - queries are logged, transaction ids issued queries formally responded too etc). After the initial 1 year period ends, the Reflect Forum is similar to this forum with some very knowledgeable members who usually help.

I rate Hasleo as the best of the free non-Reflect tools but my only reticence is that there is no direct customer support.
To be fair the developers lurk on the forum and are proactive but that is not the same as proper customer support.

The tool is New Kid on the Block, and maybe in a year or so, it will have established a strong track record.

Personally, I use MR for my routine backups but do a Hasleo backup before a significant update as well, pragmatically accepting that I might have to spend a couple of hour updating drivers and/or defender updates and/or the odd program update etc.

My mains reasons for keeping with Reflect is it is more flexible (especially when reordering partitions, managing different sized drives), and of course, the Macrium Image Guardian. A big factor is it has NEVER let me down.

To that end, I am prepared to tolerate slower times.

A partial game changer may be if V9 of MR becomes subscription only. Then for new users, using Haslo is probably the a good choice.

I would remain on V8 until as such time an update from Windows breaks it (I still think MR Team would issue an update - they have done this for V7 for a serious issue when out of support was identified.

I'm not using any verification and I'm also using high priority. I'm using Samsung 970 EVO Plus as the main drive and Samsung T7 Shield as the backup drive plugged into the USB 3.1 Gen 2 port.
