I have an Asus P7H55-M Pro board and the problem is that suddenly I have no sound coming out of the speakers or headphones. However, the system seems correct and when I play music you can see the indicators move.

I have run Win11PE (autoboot) and the same thing happens.
I've tried other speakers and I can't hear anything.

I have looked at the board in case any power connector has come loose but everything is correct.

@zequion

Because it's happening to both speakers and headphones, and you have good indicators...
It sounds like it's just a Setting somewhere. Like a Master volume setting.
Unfortunately... those Settings are spread all over the place.

Check the speaker icon (system tray) settings (volume mixer and sound settings (right click and left click).
Check the Start Menu Realtek settings... etc.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
I looked at everything and looked again and, as I say, I started with Win11PE (self-starting) and everything was correct but I couldn't hear anything. I'm trying to buy a Sound Blaster sound card for the pcie 2.0 x1 connector.

Try sound troubleshooter
settings>system>troubleshoot>other troubleshooters>audio>run

If your issue is happening when using a particular app make sure the app has access to sound and that sound has not been muted for that app. As an example, I've had this issue recently in Firefox and it keeps reoccurring. I have to right click my sound icon in task tray and open volume mixer. The little sound icon to the right of Firefox always shows muted. Once I click the icon, I have my Firefox sound back.

Ya intenté solucionar problemas y verifiqué el ícono para que no esté en silencio. Pasa con todos los programas y al probar desde el panel de control, sonido.

Hello. My Spanish is not so good, but on trying to translate your post it sounds like you got sound after trying from the control panel. Is that correct?

I've already tried troubleshooting and checking the icon so it's not silent. It happens with all the programs and when testing from the control panel, sound.
