Text on external Monitor is blurry, distorted
Hi guys :)
I have a problem with my external Monitor ( asus vg24vqe ) that is connected to my laptop ( Asus 5 Nitro ) with HDMI 2.0 cable.
On my main screen/laptop everything is perfect , sharp text and amazing quality. But on the external monitor text looks very weird , blurry , distorted. It appears everywhere from desktop to apps and even games.
I've tried already a lot of solutions from Internet with similiar issues. Changing display Scaling , Adjusting the apperance, ClearType text, changing resolutions ( Currently its on 1920x1080 as recommended 144hz ), changing DPI compatibility. Anybody have some ideas how to fix that problem ?
Im using Win 11

I see no issues, text is sharp and clear. The rendering (at the GPU) appears fine, have you checked the monitors OSD for things like sharpening and turning that down/ off, or any similar settings that might affect the display?

It sounds like either the monitor or a monitor setting. I doubt it has anything to do with Windows.

Is it a new monitor? If so, I'd return it for another.

on another forum i got this answer "Ah, I just looked that monitor up. You will not be able to do much with this one. You have a 24" monitor with a relatively low resolution for the size, which means larger pixel size than your laptop display. You're as sharp as it gets."
There is no problem, your external Monitor is around the 100 DPI (dots/pixels per inch).
The Laptop display probably 200 DPI.
Text will improve slightly with ClearType tuning, but not by much as it is basically the result of the lower DPI. Put another way, larger pixel size.
ClearType is a version of anti-aliasing.
