Hello guys.

Just a short question.
If you activate the transparency effect in the settings then you get the mica for explorer etc. i would like to use Mica Alt instead.
So far I haven't found anything, so I'm hoping someone here can help me.

Thx in advance

You already have Mica and Mica Alt in file explorer, notepad...

Mica Alt is normally used in Title Bars.

And I think it's only available for developing apps and not for customizing windows.

Isn't that called Tabbed?

What do you want to achieve exactly? changing the background of Windows Explorer or changing title bars of Explorer and other apps to Mica Alt?

Did you try using Mica For Everyone?
You can change the Mica to Acrylic/Tabbed.

You can use ExplorerBlurMica for changing the background of Windows Explorer but it might not what you want.

Exactly. Also Taskbar. I made a Picture of my current Explorer for better imagination. I already used Micaforeveryone but it changed nothing in case of Mica effect. As u can see in the Pic the backgroundcolor from the win7 Wallpaer almost never gets through. So i was hoping in comarison to mica alt it would look better and more color should be visible.

I have two apps for Taskbar but they just make it Acrylic or with custom transparency

Did you configure Mica For Everyone correctly?

Find the explorer from the left side of app (if it's not there, you can add it by + icon down there)
Then at the Backdrop Type, choose Tabbed
It should effect immediately (if not, try restarting your pc)
If you choose General and select Tabbed, it will change title bar of other apps to Tabbed

Btw if you want more colors, you should go with Acrylic
I don't know how much colors you will get with Tabbed in light mode, it's alot better at dark mode

First picture is the settings for Mica For Everyone
Second picture is explorer with Acrylic effect

I tried. Even after restart had no effect. I also cant see a difference between Mica and Tabbed option. I used Global and Explorer.
I've already switched to dark and tried another background image with more color, but the strong color difference at the borders doesn't even begin to come about as in the example image in a post above.

I don't know why it's not working on your system
Do you have any other apps that effecting Explorer?

First, we should confirm that MFE is working.
Try changing the settings for mspaint to Mica or Tabbed then check the Paint app to see if it's working

Btw you got MicaForEveryone-x64-Release.msix v1.3.1.2, right?

I attached a picture of difference between Mica (right) and Tabbed (left) for my wallpaper
I attached another picture with instructions before installing MFE (if you installed MFE, maybe you already did this?)

I used MicaForEveryone-x64-Release-Installer.exe v1.3.1.2
I switched to a Backup and istalled again as u mentioned.

I tried with Paint and it works. There is a difference between tabbed and mica. its just barely visible cause of light theme and the color of my wallpaper dont show up, maybe windows dont like it:-)

btw is there a way using MFE in Taskbar?

Yeah, it's probably because of light theme. You can try setting Titlebar Color of Explorer to Dark and setting the Backdrop Type to Tabbed to get dark themed Tabbed effect on explorer

What do you mean by using MFE on Taskbar? You want to get Tabbed Taskbar?
If yes, I don't know any app for that but you can try TranslucentTB to get Normal/Opaque/Clear/Acrylic
GitHub link
Microsoft Store link

I attached a picture with an example of TranslucentTB settings

Yes exactly, I would also like to have the taskbar in tabbed form. I already know TTB, but thanks anyway.

Oh, then that's a misunderstanding.
I was talking about the visual tabbed effect shown in Micaforeveryone, better known as Mica alt effect for the taskbar.
