It can happen if you use many different pendrives to boot from. In some cases you have to clean up your bcd {fwbootmgr} settings.
But that's not so easy to do.

Why would he want to delete anything?

@Marioo why are you wanting to boot with a pen drive?
If your Laptop BIOS runs as UEFI, the pen-drive name you would boot to would generally be the UEFI option

So I have the folowing Boot options priorities:

Bott option #1 [Windows boot Manager]

Boot option #2 [UEFI: ip6 Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller]

Boot option #3 [UEFI: IP4 Realtek GBE Family Controller]

Boot option #4 [UEFI: USB, partion 1]

Boot option #5 [UEFI: USB Partion 2]

Now you can tell me which one I will choose in order to boot a pendrive with the last Windows update 23H2 which My notebook does not want to update itself!

It’s pretty odd you telling people that something needs to be deleted from their BIOS. Why? When someone says they don’t know what option to boot from a “Pendrive” I don’t understand where deleting BIOS entries comes into it?

@Marioo take your time, tell us what you’re trying to do and why you’re doing it. You shouldn’t need to run an update from a USB. If you are doing a complete fresh install, that is different.
Have you placed the 23H2 ISO onto a pendrive? How did you do that? There probably shouldn’t be partitions on it.
For example, if you make a USB with an ISO using RUFUS, it wipes all drives and partitions as far as I know. The same happens when you use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool.

Check your pen drive what you have in both partitions on the pen drive in file explorer. Seems that both can be booted from.

Why does the pen-drive have partitions?

One example is Ventoy, it uses a boot partition and you load your Windows/Linux Install ISO's etc. to the second partition.

When you boot the USB drive, it then allows you to select which ISO to install.

Very handy if you regularly install OS and the like.

One example is Ventoy, it uses a boot partition and you load your Windows/Linux Install ISO's etc. to the second partition.

When you boot the USB drive, it then allows you to select which ISO to install.

Very handy if you regularly install OS and the like.
Cheers, 🙏 I have never used it

I used it several times when I had my old Win7 PC up and running.

I also used it when I updated the Win7 PC to Win10.

It works a treat.

I have an update 23H2 Iso downloaded from microsoft site! I need to boot my computer to update it! The latest windows 11 update !!

It’s pretty odd you telling people that something needs to be deleted from their BIOS. Why? When someone says they don’t know what option to boot from a “Pendrive” I don’t understand where deleting BIOS entries comes into it?
I did not say to delete anything from the Bio at all!!
