Windows 11 can't connect to Ubuntu samba shares

Hi!

I have problem to connect from Windows 11 to my sambashares on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
but to my sambashare on Linux raspberrypi 6.1.21-v8+ the connection works.

When I tested with Windows 10 I was able to connect both Ubuntu's and RaspberryPi's samba shares without problems.
Raspberry Pi has Samba version 4.13.13-Debian installed and Ubuntu has Samba version 4.18.6 installed.

Can some help me with this issue?

I wish I had some good help for you and apparently no one has answered you... similar issue with me, I made a new post about win and samba. I know you can experiment with the Samba conf file, but very long process that may or may not work. You F-up and you lose your machine. So, best you look yourself and see if you might try that with Ubuntu samba edit conf file. I cannot find any GUI for Samba, it looks like only line editing. Have only been partially successful and put a zillion hours in. Good Luck.

What version of Windows 11 are you using? Home/Pro/Education?

You may need to enable smb1 in windows features.

Since Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and Windows Server, version 1709 (RS3), the Server Message Block version 1 (SMBv1) network protocol is no longer installed by default. It was superseded by SMBv2 and later protocols starting in 2007. Microsoft publicly deprecated the SMBv1 protocol in 2014

SMBv1 is not installed by default in Windows 10 version 1709, Windows Server version 1709 and later versions

If you need to use SMBv1, you will need to install it manually, from Programs and Features... Turn Windows features on or off.

Windows and Linux networking and Samba. I can get windows 10 on my laptop to see linux desktop, but cannot get Windows 11 to see linux. wth?? what a PIA! yes, I look on Ubuntu forums, but too much info and mostly worthless! anyone know of a forum that has easy info that helps this issue? Thanx

if you are going to edit the config file in samba in Linux, then you might get more out of it, but it's digging pretty deep... I gave up after going through all that crap.. I just have to live with Share the IP method. They wrecked it and don't care at MS. Yes, enable the Windows Feature for Samba in Windows Features part as above.
