I have just recently purchased a bare bones computer to use at my workbench. It came loaded with Windows 11, (I forgot to check the build), and I am having a devil of a time installing QB64. I use QB64 as a quick and dirty programming language for small projects. The package is downloaded from the QB64 web site as a compressed "7Zip" file. when I try to unpack the file package any one of three different "unzippers" seems to work, except that they all fail because they can not create directories and sub-directories during the unpacking process. After fooling around with it all day, I found that I could unpack the files to the documents directory shown in "quick access". That did not completely solve the problem, though. I moved the unpacked files and directories to the location where I wanted to install QB64. When I tried to run the self install, it ran into the same problem, as it could not create directories for the installation. I've tried turning off the virus protection and a few other things during the install to no avail. Does anybody recognize what the problem is?
