Is Disk genius Standard, normally US$69 available anywhere at a discount?

Does anyone know if DiskGenius Standard is on offer anywhere? Do they have any offers through the year?
I suppose lifetime support and upgrades makes $69 pretty good value. It covers 2 computers.

Hey Kelper, If you try Diskgenius, please report back your findings. I have looked at it a time or two but hesitated as I doubted how effective a end-all be-all disk appliction would be in the long term, but more importantly it's interface caused me pause. It's screenshots looked very complicated and busy to me. (But I guess if an app can do it all, it would have to be technical, maybe too technical for me)

I use the free version a lot and it's very good. S1W2 seems to have the paid version.

When I look at the additional features, I have most of them on other tools.

Most extras pertain to data recovery but if you back up properly, you should not need this.

I do not think the extra features are worth the cost.

However like all things, the cost may be worth it if the data is really valuable and was not backed up.

Disk Genius free is good for resizing, moving and checking partitions. I can't test it's imaging and cloning without a license. I find the interface very clear.

You can use that argument on any one off payment paid version of any tool.

The real question is "Do I need the extra features now, and am I prepared to fork out the dosh now?"

For most of us, I suspect the answer is resoundingly "No"!

Macrium Reflect has had four major updates in ten years, an average of one update every 2.5 years. Four licenses cost me £50. So that's £5 per computer per year if I could keep on buying the four-pack. That would mean it was cheaper than DiskGenius over, say, fourteen years.
But Macrium has stopped selling four-packs and it's now $40 per computer per year if there is a Black Friday 50% sale.
Now DiskGenius is much better value!

For me, the thing that makes Macrium worth it is the Image Guardian.
As long as my backups are... secure, I'm a happy camper.
Cause I can always access them with the MR bootable media.

I know for a fact, that Image Guardian is immune to ransomware. At least for all the current flavors.

I thought the same thing. The data recovery would have been handy back before Covid and poor health forced me to stop dealing with the public but Minitool is pretty good at that too. Back then I spent most all I made on tech, apps, and gadjets. These days it makes no sense to spend $ I don't have for stuff I don't need in my golden years. (She says facetiously since there's nothing golden about them.)

What does Image Guardian do? My backups are on a USB HDD and can't be hacked. I normally go offline when I backup, by booting into Macrium RE or booting from the USB HDD. I also trust my Webroot anti malware.

Rapid delta restore does not seem to speed up my restores, and with modern computers being so fast, is any difference really a factor?

I can see why many here will not buy DiskGenius when they are covered by well known utilities.

I will contact them and try and negotiate a discount for our members.

DiskGenius has a nice two-click way to boot into your UEFI settings. I'm hoping for a discount or coupon but will probably pony up the US$69 just to test its backup and restore and to see how the editable images work as recommended by @S1W2

It is good value because it also gives the data and partition recovery features. Check out other data recovery programs, they usually run $70-$80 and they only do data recovery, diskgenius has all the other features as well.

Also partition recovery, nowadays need to have the Pro versions of aomei part assist or the Pro minitool.

Diskgenius has a lot of functions for the bucks.

Note it does not have scheduling for imaging, as far as I can see.

Can do a file based disk image with free version.

If it is just for testing, click the "manage partitions" button and remove any unwanted partitions so the image is smaller.

I have cloned bunch of times with the free version of Disk Genius.
All the clones booted fine

They call it system migration
